Hi! I am Ritika. Your Retreat Companion and Guru.
I was born and raised in the Himalayas, and growing up surrounded by mountains shaped how I think about yoga. I believe that Yoga is something connected to the body, the breath, and everyday life, not something separate from it.
I've been practicing and teaching for five years now, with a foundation in traditional Hatha yoga, anatomy-based asana, pranayama, yin yoga, and meditation. My teaching brings the traditional practice together with a clear understanding of anatomy, so students understand not just how to do a posture, but what's actually happening inside their body while they do it.
I especially like working with anatomical drills, mindful movement, and practical cues that build strength, mobility, and body awareness over time. Alongside asana, I teach breathwork and meditation, because the awareness you build on the mat is only useful if it comes with you off it.
I hold a Master's in Yoga Science and a 500-hour Yoga Alliance certification, and I've taught in yoga teacher training programs, retreats, and both group and one-on-one classes.
For me, yoga isn't about achieving a perfect posture. It's about understanding yourself through the body, the breath, and the practice, and staying connected to where we come from.
Meet Our In-House Ayurvedic Doctor - Vaidya Sakshi Mittal
Vaidya Sakshi Mittal is an Ayurvedic physician and wellness consultant with over seven years of experience in Ayurveda and holistic healthcare, and a specialization in Nadi Parikshan - pulse diagnosis. She holds a BAMS and an MDAM.
Her work goes past treating symptoms. Through Nadi Parikshan and detailed consultations, she looks at a person's constitution, lifestyle, diet, and where things are out of balance, then builds recommendations around Ayurvedic therapies, nutrition, daily routine, and detoxification specific to that person.
She's consulted with 500 to 600 guests from outside India, alongside her domestic patients, and is known for explaining Ayurvedic principles in plain, practical terms rather than abstractions. Her approach is that authentic Ayurveda has to be personalized. It doesn't work as a general prescription.
Her areas of focus include Nadi Parikshan, Ayurvedic lifestyle management, detoxification and rejuvenation, Ayurvedic nutrition, stress management, and preventive healthcare.
